The submission deadlines for our literary journals are fast approaching.  Touchstones submissions are due on Friday the 18th and the Warp and Weave deadline is October 2nd.  Send in your stuff!

My Word

My Word! release party for Touchstones Journal

Come and enjoy food and entertainment as authors from this semester's Touchstones Journal read their published works at My Word!, Touchstones' release party. Also view some of the art pieces featured in Touchstones this semester. Prizes for the best of poetry, prose, and art in the Spring issue will be awarded at this time. Come join the festivities! My Word! is on April 14, at 7pm, at Centre Stage on UVU campus. Touchstones is UVU's literary and art journal, featuring the best of UVU students. Individual copies of the journal may be purchased at My Word! for $5.

The UVU English and Literature club presents: POESIS

Time: 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM, 4/2/2009 Location: Centre Stage (on UVU campus)

The 4th Annual Poesis is a community open mic. night; including featured readers Karin Anderson, Scott Hatch, Heather Hadley, Clint Edwards, and Amber Watson. After whom the audience is invited to share their own works of poetry, prose, music, rants, etc. Refreshments and prizes (donated from UVU's own literary magazines "Touchstones" and "Warp & Weave) will be available. This is a free event, all are welcome!
